THE PLAN
Exploring The Leeward Islands
Miranda and I are planning to circumnavigate the Leeward Islands in a 40 foot Dufour 405 yacht. The journey is about 300 NM (excluding the tacks) and will take us three weeks. We will start and finish at English Harbour Antigua. We are sailing from 23rd November to 14th December.
The following maps give you the general idea of the route.

We have fishing rods and a BBQ on board. We will be connected by GPS. But if, as happened the last time we sailed we lose our power .. we will have to navigate with maps and by the stars!
We are planning to get to Anguilla to meet with the Governor of the Island by Thursday 1st December. I will be delivering a presentation on Artificial Intelligence when I get there as I believe the countries domain .ai and their unique IP registration capabilities could be a great asset for them to market.
On the 4th December we are picking up Bill Bailey in St Martin. He will help us sail the longest stretch to Barbuda and we will drop him back at Antigua by the 10th December. Below is a picture of the boat and the internal layout.

Although we have enjoyed sailing together, we've never done anything quite like this before. I have done my best to prepare .. but there is never enough time, so we will have to work things out when we get there.
