Don’t forget to play
This week we flew home from Australia after an absolute adventure of a lifetime. Over the last 6 month I visited Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth, Darwin, Lichfield Park, Kakadu, Geelong, Newcastle, the Whitsundays, Kangaroo Valley, Conjola and Jervis Bay. I made many new friends. I presented on emerging technologies on stages to thousands of people, established a strategic alliance with Cisco and won three great new strategic accounts. I searched for crocodiles and met kangaroos, I hiked, sailed, swam, surfed, rode horses, skateboarded and camped. I went to operas and bands. I visited art galleries and live shows. I designed city street furniture of the future. I lunched with ministers. I mastered a new trade. I was supported by some great colleagues at work and my loving wife. I had the chance to spend some great time with my brother-in-law and sister-in-law. And I was fortunate at the end of our trip to be offered an awesome new role as Director for Global Emerging Technology at KPMG International. Mission accomplished! |
