Northern Sardinian Seas

With a few days notice ahead of a quiet week at the end of September Miranda and I used www.zizoo.com to charter a yacht in Sardinia the same way you use AirBNB to find a flat. We sailed from Portisco around La Maddalena and back. The turquoise blue waters were heavenly. I finally caught a fish off the back of the boat - something I’ve tried and failed for hours. It was tiny and I released it straight back. Sailing in Northern Sardinia is a bit like skiing in Scotland. It’s exciting and beautiful- but still lacking in infrastructure and not for the feint hearted.
